Journey north over the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument. Enjoy solitude and tranquility as you stroll through 1000 year old trees towering 260 feet tall. Muir Woods is the only old-growth coastal redwood forest in the Bay Area and one of the last on the planet. Continuing on our excursion, soak up the stunning scenery as we travel father north into Sonoma Valley, one of the most prized wine regions of Northern California. Once in the Wine Country, we will spend the afternoon sampling wines at three to four wineries. As our day unwinds and we journey back to San Francisco, enjoy a picture stop at the Golden Gate Bridge to witness the awe-inspiring view of the city from the Marin Headlands - a picture perfect ending to one memorable day.
